Here are ways that you can improvise to get the most
benefit out of coffee.
1. When you’re dieting, drink your coffee black and avoid going for sweetened coffee beverages. This is because plain coffee has an extremely small amount of calories; a brewed one has 5 calories while an instant coffee has only 7 calories.
2. According to ‘The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition’, caffeine is more effective at boosting metabolism and fat burning hormones which is best for those who are near the end of their weight-loss journey and wanting a little boost of energy.
3. It has been proven that the combination of coffee and exercise is the best as it helps you power up through your workouts and cause you to lose more weight.
4. For those who aren’t as keen to drink bitter, black coffee, there are ways to sweeten it up without sacrificing any calories. For example, for a spicy tinge, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, and for a warm feeling, stir in vanilla extract or vanilla bean.
5. But, bear in mind, coffee should be limited to only two to three cups a day to avoid anxiety and hyperactivity which can disturb our sleep cycle.
