In conclusion, coffee is a great beverage to depend on, despite having numerous drawbacks that are easily prevented. Transitioning to coffee instantly isn’t the best method as it may cause you to order the wrong coffee for your preference and it might leave a negative impact in your life. So, to prevent that, slowly transition yourself by trying coffees that you normally see around you, such as home brewed coffee or canned coffee so that your taste buds slowly get the hang of the bittersweet taste of coffee. Once you are comfortable with these kinds of coffee, switch it up by trying starbucks coffee. Starbucks coffee isn’t authentic coffee as it contains a high amount of sugar and milk, but it is still able to pack in a little tinge of the original bitter coffee taste. Then, you can try authentic coffee. Authentic coffee literally just means coffee that are freshly roasted and brewed just for your consumption which can be easily bought at baristas and dainty coffee cafes. Try out different kinds of coffee before deciding which one is the best for you. Personally, I love lattes more than any other kind of coffee. Lattes aren’t too strong and the coffee grounds are mixed with steamed milk that I love. Do note to self that not all kinds of coffee are everyone’s favorite. Everyone has their preferences and dislikes.

So, have fun trying out coffee and I hope you will find one just for you.

a. Coffee has a minimum of 150mg of caffeine per cup, while tea only has 25mg to 65mg of caffeine per cup.

2. Protection against diseases

a. Coffee has the ability to lower the percentage of Alzheimer’s disease and liver cancer while, tea contains antioxidants to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

3. Body health

a. Coffee contains compounds that aid in heart health, while tea promotes fat oxidation and inhibit fat growth.

4. Protein content

a. Two cups of coffee contains 0.6g of protein but tea doesn’t.

5. Magnesium, potassium and phosphorus

a. Two cups of coffee contains 4% of magnesium, 7% of potassium and 1.4% of phosphorus while, two cups of tea contains 4% of magnesium, 5% of potassium and 0.5% of phosphorus.

6. Country’s preferences

a. Eastern countries depend on tea to stay productive while western countries depend on coffee to stay productive.

Here are ways that you can improvise to get the most benefit out of coffee.

1. When you’re dieting, drink your coffee black and avoid going for sweetened coffee beverages. This is because plain coffee has an extremely small amount of calories; a brewed one has 5 calories while an instant coffee has only 7 calories.

2. According to ‘The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition’, caffeine is more effective at boosting metabolism and fat burning hormones which is best for those who are near the end of their weight-loss journey and wanting a little boost of energy.

3. It has been proven that the combination of coffee and exercise is the best as it helps you power up through your workouts and cause you to lose more weight.

4. For those who aren’t as keen to drink bitter, black coffee, there are ways to sweeten it up without sacrificing any calories. For example, for a spicy tinge, add a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, and for a warm feeling, stir in vanilla extract or vanilla bean.

5. But, bear in mind, coffee should be limited to only two to three cups a day to avoid anxiety and hyperactivity which can disturb our sleep cycle.

Hey guys! How do you feel if I were to say that coffee can also be apart of the Art World? Well, don't be too surprised because it is true!

Art is a very unique and majestic way to express our feelings and creativity. There are many methods on creating art including painting portraits by only using coffee.

In a regular barista where they brew their own coffee from original coffee beans; each barista has their very own way of making designs for every cup of coffee they serve. So, for instance, if you get a barista that loves making hearts for every cup, you’ll most likely get one too unless they ask.

Other than that, the coffee itself can be used to create art. Check this out.

Instagram artist, Bernulia, accidentally spilled her leftover coffee on her drawing pad. But instead of freaking out and finding out ways to dispose of the mess, she decided to drag the coffee out and create a beautiful portrait.

Another artist, Maria A. Aristidou, decided that painting her portraits using water color and acrylics isn’t enough to express her passion for art. So, she decided to try painting using coffee and this is the results.

1. Glossier and healthier hair

a. Mixing coffee ground with your everyday shampoo can protect hair follicles from a chemical known as DHT

b. Make your own hair mask using coffee oil to strengthen hair follicles instead of buying chemical-based hair masks which could further damage your hair

2. Tinting hair

a. Add one to two teaspoons of ground coffee to your conditioner. Let it sit in your hair for at least five minutes to give your hair a chestnut brown glow

3. Exfoliating scalp

a. Just like exfoliating your face, your scalp needs exfoliating too! Just sprinkle 1/3 of a cup of ground coffee to your wet scalp and massage it for a few minutes before rinsing it off

4. Dyeing hair

a. Dyeing hair with coffee is similar to dyeing hair with henna. Just add two tablespoons of coffee ground with a little bit of water to create a paste. Apply the paste to your hair and let it sit until it completely dries. Rinse it off with shampoo and conditioner. The coffee stain will leave your hair with a darkened shade.

2. Eliminate puffy eyes

a. After a morning cup of coffee, cool the grounds and apply it under your eyes area and eyelids for about twenty minutes before rinsing with cool water.

3. Minimize Cellulite

a. A coffee scrub can minimize the appearance of cellulite as it can help in stimulating the blood flow and tightening the skin.

4. Brightening skin

a. Make a face mask with coffee ground by mixing two tablespoons of plain yogurt with one tablespoon of coffee ground. Apply for fifteen minutes before rinsing it off.

So here you go! Four ways to include coffee into our beauty regimen. Personally, I love using coffee grounds for eliminating my puffy eyes even though I'm not able to do it often.

b. For a classic Southern breakfast, spice up your grilled ham by sprinkling some fresh coffee to the meat

2. Meat Dishes

a. Make your short ribs tender by marinating them with coffee ground

b. To add a bittersweet dimension to your dish, caramelize the ground coffee with your desired sauce

c. Adding coffee to your barbeque sauce can also enhance the barbeque taste

3. Desserts

a. For coffee related desserts, switch it up from ground coffee to instant coffee since it is easier to handle and mix with other ingredients

b. Turn your original, plain brownies into Turkish coffee brownies with a dash of instant coffee powder

c. But, if you don’t like the bitterness of coffee but still have that desire to improvise your cake, try a mocha approach by making coffee cake and top it off with a bittersweet maple espresso glaze

Hey guys! For this post, you'll be exposed to two different cafes to get some good coffee. So, if you're in Kuantan, Pahang, do come and check it out!

1. Mourich Coffee

The first place I visited was Mourich Coffee and ordered their signature coffee also called Mourich Coffee. Priced at RM11.00, it is a rich fragrant coffee that is extremely creamy, similar to a latte.

The beans are roasted in a medium heat as it gave a soft bitterness and is naturally sweet. The coffee was served warm and not hot which is the best way to drink a good cup of coffee.

Overall, it's a great place to lounge around if you're looking for something indoors and quiet.

Mourich Coffee

2. Akar Kopi

The last place I went to was Akar Kopi. Akar Kopi is a fairly popular cafe among my college peers due to its cheap coffee and great outdoor landscape that you are more than welcomed to lounge at. I got myself a cold coffee priced at only RM3.00 and enjoyed in it the confines of my car since it was too hot for me to sit outside.

The coffee is hazelnut based that is very sweet and light. The coolness of the coffee made it very refreshing and at first glance it looked like milk coffee.

Overall, it is a beautiful place to hang out with friends and just get a cup of good old traditional coffee with some toasted bread and other Malaysian dishes like the 'nasi lemak'.

So let’s take a look at the drawbacks of coffee.

1. Despite being able to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and liver cancer, coffee can unfortunately increase the risk of osteoporosis.

a. According to ‘The Diet Channel’, for every 6 ounces of coffee consume, 5 milligrams of calcium is lost.

b. But, it can be prevented by consuming two tablespoons of milk or yoghurt for every cup of coffee you drink.

2. Even though coffee has antioxidants, coffee can actually cause wrinkles.

a. This is because coffee can cause dehydration which it is the source of wrinkles.

b. To prevent dehydration from happening, coffee should be equally paired with water and to improve the body hydration, soak a tablespoon of chia seeds in water before you make coffee with it.

3. Some coffee beans are jam packed with pesticides.

a. Conventional coffee is heavily coated with chemicals, pesticides and herbicides.

b. To avoid this, make sure you buy coffee from the organic variety.
